Mrs. Logas has been at Lake Forest High School for four years now and continues to have the same amount of energy and passion as she did on the first day of her job. Mrs. Logas brightens our school with her incredible positivity and desire to help her students. She is always at school and has not missed a single day this year. Arriving at school by 7:00 each day, Logas is here early to make sure her students can get help in the morning and also to be sure she is completely prepared for her daily lessons.
Mrs. Logas’s favorite parts about teaching include spending time with and learning about her students, attending events in which her students are participants, and seeing her students improve over the course of time. She strives to create a classroom environment where everyone can succeed, even though her students are taking difficult math classes.
Mrs. Logas is almost always present at school events, from a football game to a band or chorus concert. Football and music relate to her interests both inside and out of school. An avid Fantasy Football player, Logas often talks to her students to get, and also give suggestions on lineups and possible free agent signings. She also has travelled the world singing in choirs throughout her life. She has been to New York, England, Germany, and even China to perform.
Teaching math was always a life goal for Mrs. Logas. She was selected by her Algebra 1 teacher at Barrington High School to teach a lesson, and from there on out, she knew what she wanted to do in her future. As a result, she found a new appreciation for her teachers and dually knew she wanted to help to inspire students the same way her teachers had inspired her.
Mrs. Logas is one of the most organized teachers LFHS has to offer. She is always ready with a to-do list and is the senior Student Council advisor, which utilizes her organization to its fullest potential. She helps to plan school events and organizes activities like the support staff luncheon.
Mrs. Logas is a gifted teacher who is loved by all of her students and everyone who knows her. Every student she has respects her and realizes all the extra work she puts in to help them succeed. Senior Jon Day had this to say about Mrs. Logas. “If we are talking passion, look no further than Mrs. Logas. One of the most genuine teachers I’ve ever met.”
