Dan Lambert, the Food Service Director at Lake Forest High School, has released the cafeteria specials for the month of February. Highlighting the month are February 13 and February 27, which are two new live “creation days” in the cafeteria. The cafeteria will be celebrating Fat Tuesday on the 13th and will be creating some old-time favorites, like Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo, Shrimp & Grits and a Chicken Tender Po Boy. On the 27th, the staff will be facilitating a make-your-own Ramen Bowl, complete with options to add your own noodles, proteins, vegetables and various broths.
The cafeteria has also added bread bowls to Broccoli Cheddar soup days and Chili Fridays in the cafeteria. On Thursdays. the staff has added gluten-free pizza and pasta bakes to accommodate the growing trend of gluten-free living.
