2018 Prom Menu released

Auto+Draft+128

On Friday, February 3, myself and four other juniors participated in the annual Prom tasting. Mrs. Van Skyock chaperoned and also brought valued opinions. LFHS moms Mrs. White and Mrs. Steinberg also attended. We arrived at the Hilton Rosemont by Chicago O’Hare representing student council, with empty stomachs and high anticipation. We came out in a state similar to that of a post-Thanksgiving dinner. Below is the final decision made regarding the prom menu.

Soup

Tomato Soup with Mini Grilled Cheese

Salad

Caprese Salad

Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato, Mini Greens with Basil Vinaigrette

Entrees

Beef option: Grilled Flat Iron Steak, Herbed Butter, Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Asparagus with Mini Pepper

Chicken option: Crispy Chicken Parmesan with Penne Pasta Marinara with Green Beans

Gluten-Free Vegan Option: Quinoa Pilaf with Tofu & Roasted Vegetables

Desert

NY Style Cheesecake with Chocolate Sauce

The menu also includes a bread presentation, coffee, decaffeinated coffee and hot Tazo tea

Everything we tasted was truly incredible. We thought the addition of the comfort food grilled cheese was a perfect touch. Each option also has different renditions available for people who have allergies. The eight of us knew that our decisions would not please everyone, but everything we decided was unanimous. Prom this year falls on May 12th, 2018.
