Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice (and not so nice)

Pumpkin+Spice+and+Everything+Nice+%28and+not+so+nice%29

Fall is finally here, which, of course, comes with seasonal drinks from Starbucks. To get in the cozy mood for fall, listed below are a variety of beverages and festive treats. In case you don’t want to throw down your money on an expensive drink not knowing what it tastes like, I tested and rated all the new and returning beverages/treats for the 2018 fall season. *All prices reflect a Grande size.*

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice (and not so nice) 1

First in line we have the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte, which is coming back for its 15th year. This drink includes espresso, steamed milk, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. It’s topped off with whip cream and a little bit of pumpkin pie spices. You can pick up this drink for a whopping $4.95 plus tax.

Rating: 10/10 – it has the consistency of hot chocolate and loaded with flavors of fall.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice (and not so nice) 2

This year, Starbucks recommended the Iced Caramel Macchiato spiced with pumpkin. It includes espresso, pumpkin sauce, milk, topped with a caramel drizzle. This Macchiato costs $5.35 plus tax.

Rating: 5/10 – This tasted like cold milk with a little bit of caramel mixed in, I wasn’t a fan of this.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice (and not so nice) 3

The Maple Pecan Latte is back by popular demand. They built this drink around rich espresso, steamed milk, maple syrup, pecan and brown butter, finished with a festive orange sugar. This latte costs $4.95 plus tax.

Rating: 5/10 – This was just an icy milk drink again, didn’t have much flavor.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice (and not so nice) 4

Similar to the latte, the Pumpkin Spice Creme Frappuccino is also back! Starbucks combined traditional fall spice flavors with pumpkin. This frap includes a blend of milk and ice, topped off with a whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice. This frap is $5.25 plus tax.

Rating: 8.5/10 – this was probably the best frap I have ever tried!

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice (and not so nice) 5

In my opinion, the best treat Starbucks has to offer is the Pumpkin Scone. A classic spiced pumpkin scone is layered with a sweet vanilla icing and a pumpkin spice drizzle. This scone costs $2.95. You definitely won’t regret this treat!

Rating: 10/10 – In the mood for something sweet and delicious? This is your best bet.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice (and not so nice) 6

Lastly, the Morning Muffin. In the mood for something that combines fruit, grains, seeds, and nuts? This muffin has it all. This muffin all packed with rolled oats, carrots, zucchini, coconut, raisins, and walnuts. To satisfy all your needs, it’s topped with pumpkin seeds, oats and cane sugar. This is all yours for $2.45 plus tax.

Rating: 3/10 – This just tasted super bland and wasn’t something I would purchase for my breakfast.

Be sure to check out these drinks and treats for this upcoming season. Happy October!
